AUTHOR BIO: Brittany Wood Nickerson has blended her training in Western, Ayurvedic and Chinese herbal medicine into her personal and professional cooking for more than ten years. She owns Thyme Herbal in Western Massachusetts where she teaches a three year herbal apprenticeship program, as well as classes in herbal cooking and homesteading. Nickerson teaches at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is an active guest speaker at conferences and events throughout the country. She is the author of the Everyday Living Series, a series of posters and zines for the home, The Herbal Homestead Journal and Recipes from the Herbalist’s Kitchen.
