If you missed out on getting tickets to Laura Zuspan’s Tarot series at Homestead, or couldn’t get tickets to the Spirit Weaver’s Gathering, then this immersion is right for you.

Saturday May 27th // 10:00 am – 5:00 pm // Laurel Shop: 3807 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, 94619

How do we align with the mythological archetypes of the Tarot?

The Tarot is an ancient book of poetry and art, mapping our consciousness, revealing the secrets of human behavior and conditioning. In this all day immersion, we will learn the meaning and symbolism of the entire 78 cards of the Tarot deck, providing a foundation for a beginning reader. We will cover how to use the tarot for meditation and manifestation, then introduce several tarot spreads. We will learn the basic structure of the Tarot, illuminating the differences between the major and minor arcana (secrets), learn how to develop intuition (grounding and channeling), and develop skills in ethical reading. Along with a lecture-based class we will convene as a salon, learning to read for each other with professional insights from the teacher. We will end this retreat with a closing ritual, in Homesteads beautiful backyard.

This day long immersion will consist of introducing each of the Tarot’s four suits, their mythological symbols, related arcana, intuition development and a closing ritual.

Each Workshop will culminate in an extensive hands-on tarot reading salon between students, that Laura will mediate through feedback. This class is suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners. All students must provide their own decks – decks that follow the Raider Waite or Thoth modality are preferred. But please choose one that you’re drawn to, as all are relevant.

Signing up for this day long immersion will provide you with all the tools needed to deepen your relationship as a solo Tarot practitioner, introducing all arcana and symbolism, aid in building sacred community and develop intuition.

READER BIO: Laura Zuspan is an artist and seer. Magic and art are her guiding forces; what most interests her in these realms are transformations in consciousness. Her artistic and intuitive practice is to facilitate collaborative healing ceremonies, ritual awakenings, and the development of inner vision to feed and inspire the spirit. In this practice Laura draws on the ancient book of Tarot, and on practical life coaching techniques. She received her BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and has shown her art internationally. She has studied Buddhism at Insight Meditation Center, Green Gulch Farm Zen Center, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Thailand and trained at the Niroga Institute in yoga outreach. Influenced by the work of Joanna Macy, Linda Montano, Angeles Arrien and Dipa Ma, Laura is interested in shifting the way we understand ‘Tarot’ into a functional and ethical tool for individual insight and empowerment. Laura recently opened a private reading room to see clients privately located in central Oakland. She is currently creating her own tarot deck through watercolor painting.
